Greetings, this is Shadow Arena.

We want to keep you informed regarding the details of the current known issues.

Please refer to below to minimize any inconveniences to your gameplay. If any additional issues are identified, we will continue to update you through this notice.

 


 

● Sometimes unable to interrupt an opponent's actions with basic attacks.

 

● Once I start the game, all I see is a black screen.
- 1. Go to your Steam library. 

  1. - 2. Right-click on "Shadow Arena", then Properties. 
  2. - 3. Go to "LOCAL FILES", then "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES".

 

I get the following error message: "Patch Client is already running." 

  1. - 1. Go to your Steam library. 
  2. - 2. Right-click on "Shadow Arena", then Properties. 
  3. - 3. Go to "LOCAL FILES", then "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES". * You can also force close the Patcher in Task Manager.

 

● After I click "Start Game" on the launcher, the game doesn't start. 

  1. - On the game launcher, click "Scan Files" at the bottom.

 

● My client/game language is set to something I can't understand. 

- On the launcher, there is a language dropdown menu on the upper right corner. Click the dropdown menu and select your preferred language.

* Make sure to change your language from the launcher, not in-game.

 

● My chat is bugged out. I type something but nothing appears. 

- Make sure that your Chat Language Settings match the language you are trying to chat in. On the main game lobby screen, click "Language" on the top left. There are Game "Language Settings" and "Chat Language Settings". Check the box next to the language you want to chat in, click Apply + Confirm.

 

● After I click "Agree" to the Terms of Service, nothing happens. 

- 1. Change servers on your launcher. If you are in Server A, select Server B (any other server), and then switch back to Server A.
- 2. Try getting back into the game.

 

● My game client is stuck at 0% and not progressing. 

- Close the game and relaunch the client.

 

● Launcher is displayed too small and must be adjusted with the scrollbar
- Adjust the display scaling to 100% in your PC’s display setting and restart the Shadow Arena launcher.

 

● The Borderless Window setting has a white border around it. 

- This occurs when you go from Windowed to Borderless Window. To get rid of the border, go from Full screen to Borderless Window.

 

● ‘Your verification is no longer valid’ error message is displayed when clicking the Game Start button on the launcher
- Click the Settings (gear-shaped) icon at top-right of the Shadow Arena page in your Steam Library > Manage > Browse local files > Delete the “Cookies” and “Cookies-journal” file located in this folder.

 

● “Account verification has failed” error message is displayed when pressing the Start button in-game
- Please try logging in after re-selecting a different server from the launcher.

 

● “Content File Locked” error message is displayed when clicking the Game Start button on the launcher
- If you are playing through Steam, please try the following: Steam Library > Shadow Arena > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Local Game Files
- If you are playing through the launcher downloaded from the Shadow Arena website, please close PA PATCHER from the Task Manager and restart the launcher.
